Music Video Project
Come be part of an exciting new music video project with kids!
What: A semester-long (February-May) project where students will create an original music video.
Students will be divided into teams (video, music, and dance) and collaborate in new and unique ways each week to work towards a final product. We hope to premiere the video in late May or early June. The project is being launched by Jump; a program of Charlottesville Abundant Life Ministries (CALM).
Who: 7th-12th grade students from Charlottesville Abundant Life Ministries’ (CALM) current programs.
When: Wednesdays 4:15-6:00pm. February 24*-May 19*. Premiere end May/early June.
*start and end dates may shift by a week or two.
Where: Christ Church (120 W. High St.), and the Music Resource Center.
Why: To give students a voice and a chance to speak about an issue of importance to them. To teach students the basics of film making, video production, sound design, acting and dancing for the camera. To inspire creativity, collaboration, and communication in students.
How You Can Help: We need general volunteers (no arts experience necessary ) but if you want to come and help kids write lyrics, make beats, and work with video/film/dance/acting, then this is definitely for you!
