On Saturday, December 10 at 8 PM, the Virginia Glee Club will perform a Christmas concert at First Presbyterian Church.
Founded in 1871, the Virginia Glee Club is the oldest collegiate choir in Virginia and among the oldest male glee clubs in the United States. Conducted by Grammy-award winner Frank Albinder, the Glee Club will begin the evening with a showcase of timeless classics and novel pieces that are sure to become instant favorites and warm everyone’s hearts despite the brisk cold of Old Man Winter. The audience will be delighted to see the return of Franz Biebl’s perennial favorite Ave Maria, as well as our special guests– the Virginia Gentlemen.
First Prebyterian Church is located at 523 Park Street. General admission tickets are $15 and student tickets are $5. They can be purchased at the Arts Box Office located in the Culbreth Drama Building, on the Lawn, online, or at the door.

Members of the Oratorio Society of Virginia, with singers from other community choirs and the University of Virginia will performs Mozart’s masterpiece, the Requiem, conducted by Michael Slon, current conductor of The Oratorio Society, the Charlottesville & University Symphony, and the University Singers.
