On February 3 from 8-11pm, The Shuckster will host an opening for a dual exhibit, featuring Andrew Salmon and Maggie Stein. Come for the artwork, stay for the company. BYOB.

From mourning to jubilation, Andrew‘s sculptures wander the myth of the landscape. Through collection, nurturing, and re-imagining, he sets out to mend micro-tracts of topography.

Maggie Stein started quilting a few years ago while searching for a portable craft. (She was a horrible knitter.) Once she realized the limits of quilt portability, she’d already fallen in love with the possibilities of pattern and color-play. Come see, touch, and potentially dissect some of her quilts-in-progress.

The Shuckster art space is a gallery space in a private home in Charlottesville which features two artists monthly on First Fridays, with small gatherings and a digital opening.
