Throughout the month of August,  NPR, WVTF, Radio IQ, and New City Arts host Wish You Were Here,” travel related artwork by Greg Breeding, Z. Bryant, Jon Dale, Matt Pamer, Gray and Mike Ryan, and Ashley Walton at the WVTF and Radio IQ Studio Gallery.

A father and four-year-old-son duo– Mike and Gray Ryan– exhibit a large, plywood map, inspired by a quote by Henry Miller: “One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things.” This map, along with vintage travel posters turned fantastical, a paper-cut compass, and a suitcase full of items close-to-home might inspire you to go places. Or this work might just encourage some slight nostalgia for places you have been, then make you happy to be home.

The WVTF and Radio IQ Studio Gallery is located at 216 West Water St. To schedule an appointment during the month of August, from 9:30 AM- 4:30 PM, email Maureen.
